A guitar design tribute to one of the greatest guitarists of all time

This is a Fender advertising campaign for a limited edition Jimi Hendrix guitar. Through extensive brand and artist research I created a campaign that captures the essence of both Jimi Hendrix and Fender. I designed all imagery as well as the guitar itself.
POSTERS
The first poster was meant to organize my intentions of this project and establish guidelines. The second poster is an evolved version of the first to be used in advertising. The flower depicted in the second poster was fabricated by hand using paper, then photographed with a projected overlay.
GUITAR DESIGN
As much as I wanted to create an exciting, colorful guitar design, I chose to stay true to Hendrix with a white Stratocaster that includes a hint of color with his signature.
